We're back - in case you missed us
« on: June 02, 2009, 20:00:51 pm »
Sorry for the outage today. I'm dealing with idiotic web hosting company. I'm really looking now for another web hosting provider, so if anyone has any ideas, let me know. THis also happened last year, for the same reason( some arbitrary charge on the account that was not set to autorenew) even after repeated calls to them and promises that it would not happen again.

If you did not notice the site was down, ur not visiting enough!

I was having a good laugh. How ironic that it happens right after we contribute to keep the sight going. ;D  I only hoped you had taken off to some place worthwhile like Australia and not down to the local gentlemen's club. ;)

I think thats the first time anyone has been called a 'dick" on this site!  Rock on Wreck!  Defend the brand!  BTW  mine doesn't run shitty... ever!  (but I don't have factory ballast).  I never get tired of good old "Wreck" sarcasm!  Guess you won't be getting another RSVP for this summers east coast roundup!  My back seat "fat sacks" only leak when they have had too much beer!

Haha- Are you guys doing a East Coast Round up?  I'll only be in the states for about 34 days this summer.  (not that i'm counting days i'll be spending on the lake)  But If you guys do it during a time I'm in Tennessee I'd be down.

Lesman - thanks again for all your dedication to the site... Its truly great and appreciated!!!

Bear with me for a few days. I am in the process of switching to a new host and you may see some odd behavior on the site. I'll try to make it as seemless as possible, but it never goes 100% smooth. I'll post when i'm through with the transition.

Update:

The problem is not on the parts database search. That seems to work fine.

The issue is with the search function of the forum itself. I am still trying to get that fixed. Troubleshooting that has proved much more bothersome than any issue i have EVER had with my Epic. I still don't have an answer.

Please understand that I am still trying to get her fixed and i realize how important the search function is when trying to troubleshoot. So, instead of bringing the whole forum down while i  try to fix it, I'm leaving it up so at least we can still post.

Again, if there are any php developers who understand things like php.ini file settings and mysql database dumps, let me know. I could use the help!

Forum search should now be fixed. Thanks for hanging in there, The lesson is that I should do all this webhosting transfer maintenance stuff during the off season. At the end of the day, I picked an even more idiotic web host to move the site to.  :'( That's why the search did not work. So, now we're back with the first idiotic web host, but at least search works.

As a side note, I went boatin' Saturday and she ran like a champ!
