Infiniti and marine applications with the QX56 motor
« on: July 27, 2011, 21:26:53 pm »
Could it be that Lexus/Toyota was just 10 years too early?

Premium fuel was under $2.00 then, does fuel efficiency matter more now @ $4.00 - I think so.

I must be in the right camp...
I've got the smooth-powerful-economical Lexus 4 liter in my boat,
and that same Nissan 5.6 liter in my Pathfinder... and it is a WONDERFUL tow vehicle.   8)

It's a far stretch..... but wouldn't it be awesome if infiniti does well and toyota decides to give it another go in the boat industry!!

Toyota is getting back into the marine business, a little above my means level though:

Very cool  ;D     two diesel v8's for a combined 730 hp. damn I'd love to know the torque numbers there putting out. I'm sure the numbers would be much more impressive than the hp ones. just one would make a great wake boat engine. I've always wanted to put a Powerstroke or Duramax in one.........i know im dreaming, but it would be sweet.
