Water Pump

Horton:
I need to have the timing belt and water pump replaced.  Is the water pump marinized?  I assume that on off the shelf timing belt will work.

Capt Rick:
All related timing belt items are the same as 2000 Lexus LS400.    Which means the water pump has calcium deposits below it and cause a belt to fail. Inspection with a fiber bore scope will determine the time to change the parts.
