October Trip - Powell or Mead??

For those of you that have been to either of these during mid-October which would you recommend? Hoping to get a good 4-day trip planned before winterizing the boat for the season. Thanks.

We usually go to Mead for UEA/deerhunt. It is much, much warmer than Powell at that time of year. There is a Best Western in Overton, NV where we usually stay. It is really the only hotel on the north end of the lake.

Overton or Echo Bay is where I was looking at Mead. It's where I picked up the boat from WakeJunky in June. Is there much else to do in Overton? Thanks.

Uh, nothing. Overton is nothingville. There is a small movie theater, a mcdonalds and not much else. We don't really care cuz we are at the lake all day. We just go back to the hotel, hop in the hot tub, and hit the hay.

Not to call anyone out here, but.... Bitzco ain't bein' honest..  The last time I was in Overton with him we both left our boats at that Best Western and drove down to Vegas.  I think he won a few bucks at the Blackjack table and spent them on...what was her name?  Kitty?  I was left to smooth things over with his wife and keep her entertained for the evening.  Bitzco gets a little nuts with all of those bright flashing lights.
