I'm looking at buying a used X22, but don't know anything about toyota boats.

How is the X22 for skiing?

How is the X22 for waking?

I boat on a large lake.  How is the X22 on rough water, say 2 foot waves?

Any other comments on the X22, good or bad?

Thanks.

For a comp type boat, it is a very big riding, stable boat. Good for all of the above. Cheap to run and maintain, very well built.

I used to have one.  Great boat for skiing or wakeboarding but a rough ride on rough water.

I love my X22, wouldn't trade it for just about anything (other than a 24' Supra...).  If you are running on rough water, the v-drive would definitely be a better bet.  For skiing, there aren't many that would argue that the X22 is a better wake.  But for wakeboarding, it is all personal preference.  The bottom line is this: whatever you buy is what you will prefer.  So... needless to say, I prefer my X.  :)

I agree with all of the above.  I love my X22.  I would bet it is safe to say that any of the Toyota boats would make you very happy.  In my opinion, they run so much nicer than any of the other ski/wakeboard boats that I have been on.  Ovhd cam v8....gotta love it!!!  Also, the chances of you running into another Toyota at your local lake is fairly slim...so you will have something unique.  Good luck.

I'll have two in my backyard in a couple of weeks!!!!!!

I'd like a NEW new boat, sure, who wouldn't? I would not want the gas bill of any other boat, or to pay 70k for a sport that is already expensive enough!

I love my Epic 22, I have all the wakeboarding stuff on it and it rocks. It has been super reliable and very durable, nothing but plugs, oil and gas. 785 hrs with no major issues or any dealer downtime, except when I had the factory tower installed.
