I know the "other" Epic folks stole the name but I must admit they are pretty nice boats. I was unlucky enough to pull a semi-pro rider on that Epic V23 about four weeks ago, I say unlucky because we had to break ice just to get out on the lake. Froze the you know whats!!!
Anyways, that boat is just amazing to drive... the 8.1 liter V8 is just smooth. Even with 3000 lbs. of ballast (the 4000 seemed a bit much) the engine was barley working. The boat planes out in about 15 secs! There is not much I can say about the wake except the kid I was pulling was doing half-cabs about 12ft up!!! His spins and flips were huge. Oh, I almost forgot, the dual rudder that boat uses is super solid. It holds a line line no other boat. If I had an extra $65K I would pick up one of those before any Malibu or MC.. but since I am a happy Epic X22 owner I tell myself I will just wait until the boat start breaking down. The problem is I am going to be waiting a long time for this damn engine to get fouled!!!
