Hitting the water for the first time this year
« on: April 07, 2007, 05:28:14 am »
It snowed here in Spokane on Monday and Tuesday but yet here I go!  We are hitting the water for the first time this year tomorrow afternoon, it should be about 65 degrees by then, (the air NOT the water).  I have to say that I started up the boat last Sunday in the driveway and just like last spring the engine turned over without the slightest bit of hesitation.  I just love these Toyota engines!!!  If I remember to actually take some digis I will post them Saturday night.

Later, Jason

That's cool! I've been out already this year, even been in without a wetsuit! It's 27 deg tonight, but it'll warm right back up next week.

Have fun, take pics!

Of course I left the camera in the truck!  It was so cold you could not let your hands stay in the water for more than a few seconds!  The day got up to 67 so once you got back in the boat you recovered fairly quickly.  The yota temp reading was jumping all around the mid to upper 40s  so I would say the water temp was sitting at a balmy 45-50!!!   I used a full wetsuit while the friends used an old dry that leaked like a dike in Holland... :D  Overall a great day but I am having a little bit of difficulty typing this message....the arms are a little sore.
