Lake Lewisville yesterday
« on: April 21, 2008, 17:34:52 pm »
I've put about 6 hours on the Epic so far. The gas gauge still showed well above half. I was thinking maybe it was off a little off so I went ahead and filled up up. Only took 11 gallons! Awesome.

We use the Epic for jumping our stand-up jet skis, so our speed/wake setup is probably similar to that of a wake surf setup. We go about 9.5-10 mph. I am sure that uses less gas thant 20-23 mph for wake boarding (I'm guessing since I have not tried wake boarding yet).

Pretty cloudy so the videos and pictures are dark.

Hope the pics work.

Yeah, I need wakeboard lessons for a 33 yr old, uncoordinated dude.

One of the guys that works for me has wakeboarded (behind a jet ski) so eventually I'll get him to show me the ropes. One thing about wakeboarding is that if say 7 people go that is a crowded boat with 1 person having fun at a time. We had 4 skis going and 3 people in the boat yesterday.

I got one GREAT jump yesterday off the big wake created when the boat was turning. The girls on the boat said the back of my ski was almost level with the TOWER of the boat!  But of course no one had their cameras out....

Went out today with a friend from Kansas. He's got considerable more experience and skill than us. We got some lessons. Here is a shot of him doing a BARREL ROLL off our Epic's wake.

Hutchinson, KS. There is a small group of awesome jet skiers that live there.
