As always , I love the idea and a day on the lake with you guys is always fun but I am having a tough time getting motivated this year. Hartwell is 12 ft low. In addition to being butt ugly  there are tree tops popping up in places you can't imagine.

I was hoping Breakaway would volunteer his place this year to add variety and because his lake isn't down much... I SAID, I was hoping...... come on big guy, give in just this once!!!

Anyway, the conversation has at least begun. Let's hear how many of you are up for it this year. As in the past, we really need it to to grow larger than the year before!

I live on lake Arrowhead (private lake). I could ask for permission to see if I could have a few boats here for a special event.  They had a wakeboard competition here a few weeks ago and they brought in 3 boats from the outside. I don't know if it's possible but I can ask.  Not a big house but I may be able to work that out too.

Here in east Tennessee, Tellico Lake is full, clean, and good skiing as long as the BIG boats don't come out to play

Hmmm.... sort of quiet on this thread. Let's bat this baseball around a little.

I went to the boat ramp where everyone put in last year. It is still in good shape. The dock next to it has been high and dry for awhile but I don't think anyone used it anyway. The area between the ramp and the island where we based things is actually ok. The island now has an enormous beach area! If we get going early enough, we could capture the other side (better) even if we do this on a weekend. In fact, for some reason, the late summer smoke and haze cleared this weekend and the water really looked good. It made me realize we need to keep this thing going. Sooo...., is anyone up for coming back to Hartwell? This week and weekend are out for me due to some appointments and back to school prep for the kids. That dosn't leave many choices if we are going to have a get together before Labor Day. Let hear some thoughts-

As an Option, I can try to rent a Navy or Army Cabin on Allatoona in September.

Hmmmm......  your killin me Wreck!   We all know (at least Wreck and me) that Keowee is just about full.  It is a great lake, and it is dead on the weekdays!  Smooth water everywhere. Now, where to dock and stay is the question.  The in-laws house is probably out, but who knows?  Trick is, closest ramp is about 12 road miles away.  This is a huge hassle.  I will spend some time in a.m. scouting out campgrounds and rentals.  Who is up for a weekday at Keowee?  1 Hour from Greenville sc, 35 minutes from Hartwell,  2 1/2 from Charlotte and Probably 3-4 hours from Atlanta.  Who knows from Tennesee.  I will try to find docking and camping on the Georgia side so access is best from I85.  Depending on the day, who is in and if you had to pick a weekday, which one is best?  Time is running out.......

I'm good for anytime during the week except for 22 aug to 5 sept, going overseas. Camping sounds good!
