pop up bow light
« on: July 18, 2008, 03:56:35 am »
My original one fell apart and was expensive to replace. SO, I went nuts and bought the cool LED pop up one with a machined anodized (purple) aluminum bezel.

Wow, that is really neat!  When mine breaks, thats what will happen.  A friend of mine had an electric telescopic stern ligh on an old Mariah Boat, very cool.  I found one at:

http://www.innovativelight.com/powerlight-motorized-led-stern-light_p_1473_11558_3.cfm#

I hate to blow the cash when the old one works fine,  maybe when my bulb goes out, I will replace the whole thing!  I am pretty sure we have the 20.25" gunnel depth for the pole and motor.

Pete, go ahead and get one, and let us all know how it works out!

Bill, it looks to me like Pete has it on his boat already!

I'm getting one:) Caught my stern light on a houseboat rope last year, cracked the base. I was going to use the one from Eddie Marine, but I'll take a good look at that one. The other one needs 22"

What's the price on that bad mamma jamma Mr. Cyclone? And is it a plug-in-and-go situation, or do i have to fire up the hole saw again? PS: It looks evil.   ;D

Flyin' , I like your moves. I bought it from Eddie Marine, it is the 135$ LED one on that page. The bezel looked different from the one shown there, they offer more colors. The finish on the one from Eddie machine was really nice, all rounded off and the light is recessed. I needed to cut a 3.25" hole for the Accon light, had to ream it out a bit up front. I used the stock front screw hole and marked and drilled the big hole behind it. I used a hole saw that I'll use once and paid 35$ for it.
