Just read what I wrote... man, what was I smokin'.  Here's what I meant to say:

Just use PVC (or similar plastic) squares as spacers, and with longer bolts, you should be just fine.

You probably would have figured it out... but to clear up any confusion about my level of competency...  :-\

Thanks for the ideas! I figured out what you were saying.

I have another trailer to try. I believe this one is an EZ Loader. I am going to see if this one fits better without adjustments, but if not I can get the bunks adjusted by the guys I am getting the trailers from and will probably stick with the Boatmate.

With all this screwing around, I am sure glad this happened in fall, not spring!!!

Well, boat is on the second trailer and fits pretty well, just need a longer winch post. Glad this is finally coming together. Now for the next obstacle, my wife and I and the X22 are leaving Wisconsin and heading to Nevada!!!

Tantrum, I want to see pics of this!  Hope you've got it all figured out now.

And Pete, here's a few pics for ya!  Unfortunately we were having too much FUN this summer to pull the camera out and take pictures.

I'd love to see pics, as well.

Did you end up with the EZ Loader?  If so, what model?  Did Skipper Buds fit it to the Epic?  Did you get the trailer you ended up with at Kendor?  What did the project end up running you?

We tow our single axle Ameritrail up to Duluth/Superior at least twice a year.  After seeing what happened to yours, I'm beginning to think it may be time for an upgrade.

I did end up with the EZ Loader.  I will have to look and see what model it is and get back to you.  The trailer cost me about $2500.  Not sure if/what I am getting charged for moving the boat from trailer to trailer, but that should be covered by insurance.  I will get some pics up.

Here is what started everything.

HOLY $#!+!!  That just doesn't look right... glad to see your boat wasn't more seriously damaged.

Tantrum,

That looks frightening!  You're welcome to check out the boatmate if you're in central SC. Please let me know how I can help.
