last questions about my trailer
« on: June 15, 2009, 20:19:55 pm »
I just stopped at a trailer service center and he told me that due to the disc brakes the hubs will get warm.  he said my bearing grease looks clean.  i use amsoil grease and  there is no water so the bearings are probably in good shape.   i took it out for a drive today and they got warm and driving a little through town the hubs got warm enough for me not to really want to hold on to.  he told me that due to the disc brakes and how they work they are built to run at a warmer temp.  should i be worried before i take it 150 miles this week?

Go to Tom's Trailers in Menomonee Falls.  They will tell you if your trailer is safe or what it might need.  They do excellent work.

I took a 245 mile trip this last weekend and my hubs were cool enough to keep my hands on them at every stop.  I'm running standard marine grease and I usually drive the speed limit or 5 over
