need pic of trans cooler

where does the trans cooler hose start at in a DD engine?  Any pics would be great.

im not sure what exactly you mean but i have a pic posted in maintenance of the blue trany lines that run to the cooler on the left side under exhaust manifold.

Shawn,
I'm guessing you mean the water line for cooling and not the blue hydraulic lines. The hose that comes off your raw water strainer goes direct to the cooler and then off the other end to the impeller housing. Check for leaks that cause high temps at the end by the impeller. That seems to be where others have had leaks. Check WNF's post on repair of transmission cooler.

I'm thinking that at ten years now one should take the time over the winter to replace all water hoses (intake and exhuast) and flush out the trany cooler and inspect for leaks with pressure (block one end and put a hose to the other).
