recommendations for bimini top: Epic 22
« on: June 30, 2012, 19:57:08 pm »
I'm in need of a bimini top for my boat (2000 Epic 22).  I want one in royal blue/Sunbrella fabric.  I don't have to have OEM but want one that's solid and reliable.  It's gotta fit my OEM wake tower.

If you can get one of the OEM trampoline tops do it! I have one and wouldn't trade it for anything. You can trailer with it at 75mph no problem and never have to worry about it collapsing or having pivot points break.

I'll take an oem trampoline top. Does anyone have one for sale? What are the dimensions of the OEM frame? I can't go to a local tent shop and have them make one for me possibly.  Does anyone know if Overton's or someone else sells an aftermarket trampoline Bimini with the correct dimensions for the OEM tower?

I have a really cool folding trampoline style that mounts to the tower.  There are a few post on here about it (Ktown used to own my boat and he bought it).    Ill have the boat out tomorrow Ill try to take some pictures and post some info on it.

Thx Denver.  Id like to find one for less than $500 new/$300 used.  I'm primarily looking to get one to have as an extra selling point.  I'm gonna try and relist my Epic 22.  I'm gonna commit heresy and try another brand of boat.  A few years back I thought my wife and I were leaving the lake we live on, but it never happened.  May snap some pics today and post them up.  My old for sale thread is still lingering somewhere...might revive it.

Below are some pictures of mine.  I forgot to take one of it folded up, but it is always attached to the tower.  When folded up it matches the profile of the upper part of the tower and attaches on top near the tower speakers..  The only information it has on the cover is "Custom Covers"  I have no idea what it cost or where the guy bought it, but interms of a cover, I dont think it gets any better!!! If you are interested Ill see if I can fine more info about out.

It pivots on this mount and is always attached here.....

The mount on the left (front of the boat) is a pin connection.  When folded out, there is a metal sleeve that reinforces the folding joint.  The whole thing goes up and down super easy..... probably dont want to tow on the highway with it up, but since it folds so easily I dont know why you would.

I like that.

Anybody know where to get one?  I did a google search and couldn't locate that exact bimini.
