Hi Folks, I am in need of advice.   i am getting humidity settling on my new Roswell Amps.  Far to much.  I use  snap on cover on my 2002 SX and it seams to let rain water in. I treated it with the sealant you are supposed to add to canvas but it still lets water in.  I also get a pool on the back of my boat in a low spot on the tarp.

When I uncover it the amps are always damp and the bow carpet is always wet, if it rained.

Any suggestions?

Rick, can i buy another bow cover, or a different complete cover that is better for rain?

Thanks.

If the amp is in a closed compartment (like under the seat or something) then you can put some sort of moisture absorber in that compartment.  Overons carries a few different options for this.  Here is an example:  http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Damp-Check-Dome-Moisture-Absorber&i=26666&str=moisture&merchID=4005

I recently had to move my boat out of the garage and after a few months of messing with keeping water off the cover I finally decided to leave a large three person tube and a few inflatable cusions under the cover.  They have been working very well to keep the water off.

I really miss not being able to keeep it in the garage though.  It was so much easier!

Oops, looks like I misspelled Overton's.  I am really getting too dependent on spell check!
