"DECC control a relay that controls the component" yes exactly. decc is low amp. i recommend carling switches they will handle any function on the boat. ive seen full switch kits with labeled switches on ebay

1. Does any acc work?
2. unplug white plug with orange wires.
turn off then on battery switch
try each button and see if any work if nothing you need to send the 2 set of buttons and the decc to Capt Rick
10200 Newington Drive Orlando,  Fla. 32836

$70.  to test and reprogram , if you buy decc credit for testing.

Thanks Rick.... I might take you up on the offer once I get my new setup working..... but I really want to have something I can support on my own in the long run...... I think in this instance, Toyota took a super simple thing and over complicated the CRAP out of it..... what is wrong with just a simple switch and relay........ NO NEED FOR THE DECC.

Everything is the same as what I said in my first post........

Also WakeJunky, do you know if they switch ground or positive in the DECC?

sorry about that short, incomplete comment. i was at work. switch ground is the preferred choice in 12v electrical circuits. very few if any switch positive. a quick google search will explain it, but use switch ground in your circuits.

oh yeah most of the circuits in our boats don't even need a relay just use the switch to operate it. carling switches can handle most if not all amps. when my dash switches go I'm just gonna buy a carling dash switch kit and rewire. i was able to toss ALL of my stock ballast electronics (switch panels, decc, relay block , CAN bull crap) when i installed my new ballast system. works like a charm. havent had a problem yet. and it really cleaned up the mess under my dash  ;D

Yes Toyota really blew it on this one. They should of stuck with the KISS method (Keep It Simple Stupid)

Hello i am a new Epic S22 owner I absolutely love my S22 just started having the same issue with the blinking light on the upper switch panel not functioning please post some pics of how you rewired it. Or a place to buy a replacement panel. I have checked all connections everything is tight and tried the recommended orange wire disconnect power on function check Capt Rick mentioned. All the buttons worked until i got to the NAV/ANC button i pushed it once and it turned solid green with all the upper panel button for a few brief seconds and then went right back to blinking red (with the orange wire disconnected).

My Decc is 2000-1 series w/terminal strips

Any further insight you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Then remove and label the positive and negative wires from the decc>remove both orange wire plugs,  remove both switchs and send with gray wire. Send to Rick Cohn Toyota Marine 10200 Newington Drive Orlando, Fl. 32836. I iwll test and determine which part or parts are bad. $70 test fee if .
