Ballast questions
« on: March 31, 2013, 06:54:58 am »
Bought a X22 over the winter! And I took it out to the lake today and it started right up runs great other than one thing for some reason when I press to fill the ballast I can hear something running but nothing is going into the bag so I decided not to run it very long incase there was a valve that was stopping the flow. Any ideas would be great!

A lot of these boats were wired differently so first off check if you have a reversible pump or two separate pumps to fill and empty to make sure your 're actually filling it. If you check the maintenance section there's a TMS bulletin regarding a ballast upgrade. Check if that is done as well. If the ballast pump upgrade was done the fill pump has to be below the waterline and the output of the pump has to be at the top with the pump mounted vertically. If its not it may have trouble pushing any air bubbles through the system. This was the problem with mine. You may want to pull the pumps and submerge it in water to make sure the pump is working. Let us know what you find.

Good luck
Todd
