Oh no... mine is GONNA fit, it just means that my project will be a touch bigger than I was hoping. I'm just gonna have to go up two steps, instead of just one. Here is my plan: The floor of my garage is 21' deep, two cars wide. Rather than swing the boat in diagonally, I'm going to leave it in one stall... In front of one stall, there are two steps (at 21' deep) that go up to a work bench area (that's about 8 feet deep). So the room for the boat is there, but the floor space for the trailer is not because of the two steps.
So... On the garage floor, I'm going to build two ramps that I will back the trailer onto. They will lift the entire trailer up off the ground, and then flatten out at the top of the ramps (building a stopper at the back of the platform, of course). The prop guard will be lifted up and over the steps.
This way, the boat will be in the garage like normal, it will just be about 14" taller. The garage has 11' ceilings and an extra tall garage door, so hitting shouldn't be an issue.
It will be a fun project, though!
