I'm trying to simplify the plumbing as I move to closed cooling, and I'm wondering if anyone has attempted to change out the front water bypass joint and thermostat housing so that I don't have to combine the two hoses from the thermostat cover.
The bypass joint seems to be pretty common part # 1635550070
The thermostat housing is what I'm not sure about, it appears that our engines likely mate with part #1603250110 which is from the 4.3L motor.
Anyone out there attempt this?
