So, anyone interested in grabbing a few spare parts to have on hand? These were all pulled from NEW crate motors. Unfortunately the people that ran these things on the dyno for break-in etc thought it was ok to just leave all the water and fuel in them when they crated them up for warranty storage! Anyway, I have disassembled the water pumps and removed the impellers to scrub them out with scotch-brite. Look great inside now. Added a little lithium grease to the sealing o-ring and they are ready for your new impeller. Nice to have a complete backup.
The fuel pumps were flushed with some fresh NON-Ethanol gas and ran/cycled through about a half gallon of fresh fuel with Sta-bil in it. Then drained, so should be good for proper storage now. I have a short video I can also send to show them running.
Lastly I have a bunch of transmission coolers. Not sure how often they go out but I believe I have heard of some failures. Probably from people not getting all the water out before winter storage. Not much to these, they look great as is.
