Epic SX for sale on E-BAY!

I really, really, REALLY hate doing this, but my wife and I are moving, and there is no way in hell that we can afford to have a boat until we get settled down.

We are taking off to Florida with a week's notice, and have to make our mortgage here in Austin as well until we can rent our place out. Like I said before, I'd rather sell my own kidneys, but hopefully when the time is right we can find another Toyota. Just thought I'd let everyone know just in case they have someone looking. VERY sad to hear. Last time you asked for our help in the decision - this time no such luck. You must already know how we feel ;-)  Course we trust your judgement and wish you the best, even if you're boatless for a while. Hope you get exactly what you want for her and that she goes to a good home. Does it help to know I had almost 3K in mine today, and that's with a stock pitch prop?

Last but not least, stay in touch with us, okay? Leave an email so we can contact you in case something comes up. You two have been a great addition to the site.

Follow the link in my other post to the Marlin site and download the little clip there. It's an SX that looks exactly like yours. Might throw that clip on your eBay page.

Hello everyone,
Sorry to have disappeared once again, just got internet here in Florida.
I still have not sold the boat. Had a few offers just before I left, but no one serious enough to arrange for financing. Didn't exactly have time to haggle with people. She is in storage at home waiting patiently for the time being.

-Ramen noodles and Natural Light beer might not be so bad.

As for those interested, the "cliffnotes" version of the boats history was always related to running sheotty, no matter what I tried. Toyota was nice enough to replace the fuel pumps and oil sender as well (to get rid of the low oil pressure reading).

Problem number two was the automatic ballast and its level indicators. They were tricky. Toyota upgraded the entire ballast system to their most modern configuration.

She's been the best boat in the world ever since. I can only complain about the upholstery not being bulletproof. That is the least of my worries though.

The reserve was set at 35k FIRM. I hate to even sell this boat, so I won't even consider taking any less.

At this point, I'm not sure what I am planning to do. If a married couple can indeed live off of Ramen noodles, we'll be happy in the summer time....

Chas & Johnny: I'll be in Dallas for 1:20 tomorrow, and will be in Lauderdale by 7:30PM. Where was it that you've moved to? Our company does a lot of business at Cape Canaveral, and occasional stuff (where I'm headed this week) in the Jupiter/West Palm area. I can't even tell you how cool it would be to be able to hook up with Epicmariners while on the road. This is a quick trip, but one of these times it would be cool to hook up. Good luck with the SX.

Whoa, small world! We moved from Lago Vista (Lake Travis), TX to Pensacola, FL. Johnny has been a CNC Machinist for 12 years (he's only 29). He got a wild hair about two weeks ago and decided to go sell roofs to people without roofs here in Pensacola. -Not a bad idea.

If all goes well we may be able to keep the Lexus after all. (The boat).

If you're ever in the western panhandle, let us know. We could get together for lunch or for a beer.

I'd like to see more pictures of your boat anyway!
