Pass De La Perfecto

Eric at PP tells me that they have made some PP adapters per my drawing, he's sending me some to test. It should be a stock offering from PP by now. YOU NEED TO HAVE IT. It is the best money I ever spent on my boat.

Nice, I'm going to purchase PP soon as I get my tax return in February/March.

I really want it too, hopefully somebody over there comes up with a way to get that extra little bit of throttle out of it, though. I know it's lame, but that top speed is important to me, even if I rarely ever use it.  So... as soon as there is a way to keep the full range, I'll be all over it like a fat kid on cake.  :)

Is it really the top speed, Cal, or is it the ponies?

It doesn't seem like the last 30% of throttle travel does much, but a couple weekends ago, when I had 29 hundies in there, 30% would've kept us from getting on plane. Now, with 1500 plus a few folks, the 30% just wouldn't matter.

Well, that too. I was more worried about the bruises to my ego when the cousin with the Centurion (with Perfect Pass) makes fun of my Toyota because it will only do thirty-something... ;)

I know, it's pathetic.

I'd let him pick on you and then volunteer to buy the beer because your gas costs about half what his does.

Here is a pic of the official bracket, fits like a glove and is punched outa heavy duty stainless. Yeah, I'll replace the third world looking screw when I go to West Marine.

Truth is, you can attach the piece with the original ball stud, then all you have to do is detach the PP cable and thread on the original ball attachment to give you factory stock throttle. That's a plus if you get stranded with a broken PP cable.

Hey, if I break my peepee cable, there'll be more to worry about than getting back to the marina.

I guess not, because I learned early on that sitting made cleaning days easier.

pete-  i am going to buy pp this month and i have a couple of questions.

1) what to order exactly.  the reason for this ? is, i am getting it through a nautique dealer and i am not sure if pp will come with all that i need the get it up and going. since nautiques might come with some of the stuff already installed???

2) do you happen to have any extra pp adapters around, if you do, i would love to purchase one from you.

thanks in advance

You have to make sure that PP knows it is for a Toyota, they have to program the brain box for the correct tach pulse. (2 PPR)

I do have an adaptor, but PP will send you one if you buy the kit. You need the paddle wheel speedo for sure, that will add 100$ or so to the price that a Nautique dealer woudl probably charge for the kit, as those boats already have that type of speedo.

Just make sure that PP knows that the kit is for a Toyota, it will be no problem and you'll get what you need with the system.
