Perfect, Pete. THANKS!!!!
I had a sheet that I used to draw fat sacs to scale and place them in 'the boat'. Then used real simple (lever arm times weight) calcs to measure what each bag contributes to the center of gravity. I've guessed at the boat's CG, but really don't think that it's crucial. Add a few sacks (where they fit), and then add the boat and each sac to the center of gravity calculation - this leaves you with info that'll help you determine how badly a certain combo will affect bow rise, porpoising and wake shape.
Got ONE request for the sheet recently, but have been wanting to clean it up since about the time I put it together. This version will now have the S22/SX and E22/X22 (thanks Pete) along with a selection of common sacks, along with a procedure to follow to build new sacks and to do the placing, measurements and calcs. If I get my shizzle together, I'll also make one for the SX's wet floor.
Maybe a week an it'll be good to go. Not sure how we post XLSs here....
Also, Pete, I need an address to ship the v-drive annual maintenance PPT to you. I converted it to PDF and got it down to 5MB, but one graphic got hosed and your email bounced it, saying your mailbox was too full.
