Can't find my motor SERIAL #
« on: April 01, 2005, 18:12:27 pm »
No one ever accused me of being NASA material, but I can't locate the serial number on my SX motor. Oddly enough, it's not on the title either.

I'm trying to change my Florida title to a Texas title. (I guess Florida doesn't require an engine serial # on inboards, but Texas apparently does.)

Thanks,
Chasity

Chasity,
I belive it is  near the intake manifold, which you may need a mirror
to be able to read it. Tight quarters on the V-drives

According to my 1UZ engine manual, it is on the front (belt) side of the motor, in the center up high but on the block below the intake manifold. You should be able to see it with a flashlight if you stick your head in there.

We bought the boat from Florida, and are just getting around to switching the title...

We actually just got back to Texas from 5 months in Florida. Johnny was doing some "hurricane work" and it was starting to slow down. It wasn't hard to talk him into coming back to Texas.

The good news is that he had lots of work, and now we're in good enough shape to keep our boat.

All of that "we're selling it" one week, and then "we're keeping it" the next was about to make me insane!

Thanks for asking, I'm pretty stoked about being back just in time for wakeboard weather!
