code check
« on: June 10, 2005, 01:15:50 am »
I'm getting a check engine light and I don't know why.  All of my gauge readings are good, and she's puring like a really big kitten.  I tried to hook up my scanner to the OBDII port, they plug in but the pins don't match.  Is there a special OBDII hookup?  My scanner works for any OBDI or II equipped vehicles, so do I need something special for marine, or Toyota Marine?

THAT I don't know. I thought it was standard OBD2. Maybe Capt. Rick can fill us in.

I contacted auto x-ray, and my easy-scan5000  (or any of their products for that matter) do not support marine applications.  Bummer.  Still on the lookout for a scanner for the ol' wakemaker though.
