2.28 GPH
« on: September 05, 2005, 02:40:19 am »
I was out this weekend, it was a bit crowded so we did a lot of sitting, but when the boat was running there was 1200lbs of weight and 4-6 people in it. I put a total of 3.1 hours on the meter, all wakeboarding. The boat used 7.076 gallons of Chevron Supreme @ 3.12/gal.

Dang. Who cares about gas prices? Not ME!! ;D

A friend who recently returned from Lake Powell, where Bitzy and I are off to for four days this week, said gas prices there were $3.80
Good thing I don't have a mc or boo.

Havasu, beahhtches...we did end up spending a lot of time passing through the channel and so there's more idle time than normal, but to offset that, we did take another run up towards Needles (about 30 miles north), and of course down by the dam (20 miles south), along with some ballasted sets. Paid as high as $3.69 for Chevron Super at the marina (stupid, I know). It's cheaper in Cali right now than in Arizona (first time ever?).

End result for five lake days was:

16.0 engine hours and 48.16 gallons, for 3.01 gph or $10.30/hr. Pretty dang good, huh?

Wow. I'm so glad I have a Toyota Epic 22 right now instead of a mastercraft or malibu....
