WAKE SURFING
« on: August 15, 2003, 05:07:57 am »
Has any one tried wake surfing behind the toyota, i was just kind of curious how much wait was required and where the best placement for wake surfing would be. Any tips on wake surfing would be great.

Haven't tried yet but I have heard it is pretty easy to learn.  There are good videos at www.Wakepics.com.   Just make sure the driver doesn't stop the boat or else you wind up inside.

We do it all the time, my kids like it more than wakeboarding. You can do it with or without wake, for max size, put sacks on one side or the other, then do slow (12mph) circles, the wake will be huge on the inside of the circle. My kids use a skimboard, they work great and are a lot cheaper than one of the wake surfboards. You can put a wakeboard fin on them for better control. Use a short ski rope to get started, my son gets up on it just like on a wakeskate.
