Spark plugs
« on: June 28, 2006, 05:50:56 am »
Silly question maybe, but I changed my plugs yesterday due to a very rough start this year. I used NGK iridiums and it runs perfect now. The odd part was there was a ton of fresh oil on the threads as I pulled each plug out. Is this normal or do I have a problem?

Just checking

Was the engine fogged as part of the winterization? Fogging oil foam can get in the thread area.
Don't be so humble, you're not that great.

It definitely wasnt fogging oil, it was engine oil, and a lot of it.

Are you getting any white smoke when you first start it up? Could be a head gasket...
