FloorBoard Heat?
« on: July 04, 2006, 06:28:43 am »
Had the EPIC out on the lake today- Sweet Ride.  After a while noticed that the floorboard below the Drivers Chair was HOT to the touch?  I Kinda figured it was something to do with the heater?  But the heater wasn't blowing and was turned off.  Where is the fuse for the heater- I want to pull it and see if this is a simple fix to the Heat issue.  I don't think i'll ever use the heater, anyways...    OR- does someone else have an idea as to the fix or the problem?  Thanks in advance

Your heater is fed by the engine cooling system.  There are two hoses from the engine (one to feed the heater and the other to return the water to the engine).  To stop the heat, you will probably need to close or disconnect the hoses.

Here are some pictures of the heater hoses.

The top view shows the hose connectors (white plastic 90 degree angles) coming out of the engine cooling system.

The front view shows the two hoses coming down the front of the engine (note the red shower hose is connected to the hot heater hose).
