Sell the SX and move to California???

I think I am losing my mind. I am actually thinking of selling the Toyota. I may get another one, I just plan to move somewhere in Southern California to a lake soon and I need to liquidate.

Does anyone know about any good lakes down there? My buddy lives in Palm Springs and I'd like to be close  by...Big Bear Lake is close he says, also Elsinore and Canyon. I hear that you can't board on all of them though....

Then again, I just put a sweet toyota logo on the side and she sure does look good...maybe winter is getting to me!

new Toyota logo on the side of what?

Dude, stay in Texas if you like to wakeboard. I know there is at least one private lake out by Palm Springs. Big Bear's not a real option unless you've got a thing for camping. Would like to take the boat up there, but it's just a novelty.

Next closest would be Perris (hour maybe from P.S.). Pretty lake, but small and super crowded most of the summer. Tied for next closest (bout half hour longer) would be Silverwood (high desert/mountain lake) and Elsinore. Haven't been to silverwood, but I hear it's extra-super crowded and tends to get blown out earlier than the others.

Elsinore is a really nice size and shape for riding - lots of long, straight runs. It's closest to me, easy access (and where I'm riding tomorrow). Problem is it's really green with algae or photoplankton or whatever. It looks like any of the zillion lakes in Tenessee, but we Calofornians are not used to such things. Actually bums be out cuz I don't mind it but none of my friends will hang there. Always blaming it for getting sick.

Seems to me the great place for a wakeboarder to live is in Dallas. That's where my boat spent its toddler years until it grew up and moved to the big city. Nice lakes everywhere out there. Glass at 11AM on a Saturday in June. Imagine that.

You can't take your boat on Canyon unless you live there, but you can always bum rides there. It's the only decent water during the summer.

There's always Lake Havasu (about two hours from P.S.). Very very cool place. Buy a diesel tow vehicle and a mobil home. Go there every weekend during May and November. Be happy.

I had a big toyota logo made to go on the epic. It's just black, but I'd like to get one custom made at domednumbers.com.  At first I thought it might be cheesy, but then I thought -it's a TOYOTA logo.

Thanks for the advice on the lakes man! I guess I'll have to buy a lean-to on Canyon Lake. It looks just like the lake that I live on now, and was built the same way. All that limestone bottom makes the water clear and turquoise in most places.

I have been wanting to move to So Cal since I was a kid. Dirtbikes, quads, dunes, and Toys with big tires are all my better half and I can think about. -And chrome. Little house, big garage...

Being a CNC Machinist in Austin sucks. All the cool parts are made in So. California....
