I have a friend that is a tinkerer, he built his own inboard when he was 16, had a 260 Buick V8. He is a mechanical engineer by profession. He put a Wedge (Malibu part) on a Mastercraft. If you get interested in doing it, I'll put you in touch with him. He can definitely help you evaluate whether it's worth doing it on a Toyota hull. We have that wierd step on the back, it's cool because of the trunk but it doesn't give you much room to mount something that frigging 'uge
Can you imagine the amount of force that must put on that part of the transom? I guess we could put an L shaped brace up there that would push against the bottom of the trunk, and be attached at the transom as well. That would actually be WAY stronger than a plate mounted at 90 deg from the direction of force!
I'm gonna need more weight up front, no ski locker and no place to put it under the seats
