That's in the Havasu channel - I get a little, shall we say, focused when I'm driving through that mess. Then again, I love it - our friends would rather drive around the island, but to me it's fun to cruise through and watch all the knuckleheads. Kinda cool that things have toned down over the years, cuz we're always there with the kids and I'd hate to nopt be able to go through there because of them. Then again, most people would probably sheat themselves if their six year old saw pasties. Not great, but he understands that some people are just whack, and are fun to sort of laugh at.
Thursday morning was THUNDERSTORMS (weatherman called them 'treadmill monsoon'), but by the afternoon, we were out and it was a 100% perfect Havasu day. Friday was nice but started to get crowded and Saturday was just rough. By then, though, Brandon was as tired as a six year old rider gets, and I had taken my share of falls. Friday I rode from Steamboat to the dam (maybe like 11 miles?) and throughout that whole ride, neither HS or TS felt anywhere close to decent. Guess it's the age ;-) Anyways, the weather was awesome from Thurs AM onward.
