just wondering what sort of gearboxes the epic skiboats have and what is the gear ratio they have or are they 1:1

it's made by Hurth, it's the best transmission made today for a ski boat.

what sort of hurth and what is the gear ratio are they 1:1 or are they the gear reduction ones with the out put shaft on a 10 togree angle

HSW 450D with special high-rpm pump. 1.26:1 ratio. Two parts: a tranny and a gearbox. Tranny takes two quarts of ATF and doesn't have a filter. Gearbox takes one quart of gear oil and doesn't have a filter. Both are cooled by lakewater.

thanks for the reply i appreciate it that would be really good it see a picture of the gearbox i am looking to replace my powergluide gear box and get a zf hurth but i dont know weather i should get a 1:1 ratio or a gear reduction like yours i hope to hear from you soon

Not sure since you've got a blower now, but with the normal M1UZ, I'd stick with the reduction (unless you wanted to turn a trolling motor's prop.)
