Barefoot Boom on a V-Drive

My friend next door gave me a Barefoot boom off his old Tige V drive.  I think it's a great tool for teaching kids how to board and ski. The ski pylon on the S-22 doesn't extend high enough to attach the boom to it.  Can I simply replace the pylon with a longer one and be good or will it be too much stress on the mount?  Any ideas on where to get a pylon that will fit?

My pal Tugg has a folding boom mounted to his tower. I want to go ride his Sky Ski some more;) and he is in your neighborhood. We should go be boat whores and you can check it out. He won't mind. I'll see what he's doin. He usually rides on Carters, which is a nice lake.

You should look for a contoured boom, barefoot international has one.  Adding length to your pylon with our bracing may stress the hull at the connection point.

Barefoot International has a new clamp that fits the V drive pylon.  I ordered the clamp and height adjuster and it seems to be working well.
