Drivers seat Mod

One of my winter projects was to lift the seat up and finally get rid of the cheesy inflatable booster cushion.
I had several ideas and I learned quite a bit during the process.
1. I probably would not do the swivel and simply go with the height increase. Its a cheaper part and you don't have to move the seat off center.
2. Copy and paste this to see the Garelick EEz-In Low Profile Seat Swivel:

3. I used pvc lumber. Its paintable, strong and won't rot.

4. Here is a link to my pictures on photobucket

Looks like a great mod. I think I may just make a box outta that stuff to raise my seat up and tilt it slightly forward!

My original no swivel design used a PVC deck post sleeve. I cut them to proper length, drilled holes on the top and bottom and was done for less than $30.

Trex is an option too

No I don't work for Lowes but they do give me a 10% discount every day

As a follow up I replaced the PVC lumber with the stronger Trex material. The PVC was not strong enough.
