« on: July 11, 2007, 16:47:00 pm »
i'm replacing the impeller on my '99 x-22.  The dealership gave me the 09-812B mayfair impeller.  is that the correct one?

I used the #0714 from www.skidim.com. Worked great.

Yes, the 812 is what you want.

I don't know what mayfair means - is that a copy of the Johnson branded setup?

mayfair wasn't printed on the box, just on the tag that the pro shop put on it.  I just didn't know if it was correlated to "Indmar" which, on the impeller maintenance article in the "how to" section, specified "Indmar" as the type of impeller.  Also on that article it says that you are supposed to turn the impeller clockwise as you fit it in, however, the exisitng impeller was turning counter-clockwise so i put the new one in the same way as the old one, counter-clockwise... i hope thats right???

Disregard that last part about clockwise and counter-clockwise rotation of the impeller, i re-read the instructions and it was talking about rotating the pump counter-clockwise not the impeller.  my brother was the dummy who read the instructions to me...he's mechanically challenged, haha.

Anyone consider this as a impeller replacement?  It looks stronger than the OEM part

Has anyone gone ahead and installed one of these Globe impellers?

Any feedback?
Any issues at idle speed not moving enough water?

Hector
I bought one but I haven't had a chance to install it yet.  I will try to find time this weekend to get it installed and will let you know how it works
