New Documentation on HIN!
« on: April 27, 2011, 05:49:38 am »
Greetings EpicMariners,

We now have a comprehensive list of all Boat configurations by HIN number. Pretty cool stuff and you can see what features came on your specific boat. 456 pages!

This is GREAT!  It is nothing we could not get off the registry, but it does have a MSRP.  kind of a window sticker for your boat.  Pretty cool!

Once again, it is another tool for Ramblin Wreck to complain about his non existant depth gauge!  >:(

Wreck, buy the parts, I will help you install, and then we can get Cyclone to fix it right at the roundup this year....

Roundup this year....maybe another thread to start.....LAKES ARE FULL, KIDS still in school!  Weekdays are cool!

Really cool!
Is this list was was actually sold with our boats or was it the MSRP and all options available with the boat?

Is this in order of production?  I knew I had an early one (one of the first in WI) but it looks like I may have Epic #10 overall.

Breakaway - your memory scares me!!! %$##%$$ - there, I did it. I am ok for another year. Sometimes I think about buying one but I have no idea where I would install the gauge.

I am totally up for a Round Up this year. It has been way too long, the lake is beautiful and the timing seems right. It will be up to you guys to drum up support and attendance. I am not a marketer extraordinare.

If we put Cyclone to work, it will be to tap into his knnowledge regarding electrical matters. No operational issues just something with the audio system. If music and blower on at the same time - whoa MaMa. Also, temp guage goes up when blower on, etc.

Wreck,

Is this a new problem, a developing problem or an intermittent problem?  Did you ever do the famous ground wire to MDC procedure?

Maybe you ought to just sell it back to the idiot who sold it to you!  That will show him!

Perhaps this year we should do two Round ups!  One for the adults, before school gets out and one for families later this summer.

I'd be game for a Round up near Tennessee but only towards to the end of summer.
Boating is more then a passion- is a lifestyle.

Breakaway, if it was there initially, I don't recall it. It is constant and seems to be getting worse. This week there was interference in the audio systemjust from the engine running- humming in the background. If tghe Nav lights or blower are turned on while the audio system is active there is a huge pop, then the hum.  I haven't done the ground wire mod. I have only had the darn thing 5 or 6 years - I hate to rush things. Actually:

1. I am not sure where to connect as I don't have the newer computer/terminal strip that all of the "new" Epics have.
2. At my age, contorting the body to get underneath the dash is still possible - getting up from there may not be.
3. I keep hoping that the next time I start the engine, the problem will have gone away.

Unfortunately, all of these are true so pick one and you will see why we need a Round Up!

I would sell the darn thing back to that very nice guy but I don't think he could afford it. I can't help but grin when the engine starts. There is something about the sound of the E21 that other boats (including the bigger Epics) just can't match. Then when I head to the end of the cove, turn on a dime and punch it, well, I grin again. Sorry Bill, I love it. However, you will always have first dibs if/when I sell it.

Hartwell is WAY up.  Toured Clemson's practice area this morning.  Does 2 Epics a roundup make?  ;D

It does in my book. It is quality that counts, not quantity. That's my story and I am sticking to it...

Last year we almost got a Round Up together that would have brought folks from quite a distance. If the usual suspects and the news folks could have all shown up, it would have been a head turner. I was pretty impressed at the possibility. However, we just couldn't get our act together.

As I stated earlier, event planning and coordination are not my areas of expertise. Being fortunate to have good folks willing to haul their boats to the lake where I spend a lot of my summer time is where I excel. The first suggestiuon is that we move this to a new thread properly labeled. We seem to be highjacking Lesman's really great news regarding newly available boat info.
