Lanyard Kill switch wiring
« on: June 02, 2011, 22:57:36 pm »
Had my uphoslstery redone, looks awesome.  Started the dewinterizing process and get to the point when its time to run the engine with the fake-a-lake, engine cranks but will not start.  Seems like there is no spark.  How can I tell if the kill switch is hooked back up correctly.

1. If the gauges move the lanyard is fine.
2. Check if the fuel pumps are working. ( find a previous post )
a.turn key on press fuel pump swithch on engine
         B. on fuel rail remove black cap look at screw does it raise and stay up
          c. if no hit the fuel pump with hammer. or use vise grips on fuel return hose.
          D. try to start engine.
e check fuses and relays on engine.

Bring a paper clip and remove the female push on connectors on the back of the lanyard. Connect the two wires. try to start .

Hooked the connectors up diagonally, instead of side by side.  Engine turned right over.  Thanks for the help!
