Hello from the Inland Northwest...

Just thought I would drop a line to everyone out there since I have been visiting this site since Oct of 05!  I purchased a 2000 X22 from Ebay Oct 28th of last year and hauled it back to Spokane, WA from Dallas 1850+ miles straight in 31 hours!!!  The boat had only 13.5 hours on it so the engine really hasn't even been broken in...I have had it out four times so far this season (when I got back in Spokane on Oct31st it was snowing and raining so it went right to storage...) and it now has 23 hours.  Anyways, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone since I have learned a lot about the boats from reading all the postings.  It was really helpful to know about the dash gauges "freakin" on occassion, I have seen it happen once already and I am glad I knew about it from the postings.

Oh, man...I thought we had a Cal sighting with them beautiful colors. Just love that look, and DANG!!!! I thought LA to Dallas was a friggin hump, just can't imagine Dallas to WA. Stud!!!!

If I already asked, sorry, but does the engine hours in the message center match the display on the tach? Or does yours not have the hours on the tach?

that is my favorite color scheme that Toyota put out.  I tried to match it a little with my new boat, at least I got the colors right.

That's a beaut. What a find, such low hours. If you keep it inside a garage it will stay that nice for many years. It's worth the extra few bucks.

Glad to have you on the board! Look around, there's tons of info here. I scanned all the factory documentation I had and we've posted everything we could get our hands on about these boats. If you have any cool brochures or anything scan them and we'll put them up.

To answer the question...no, the tach does not have an hour counter.  Exterior & engine are flawless but the dark grey vinyl on the engine cover is a little cooked considering that darn texas sun!!!  At first I could not believe the hours but it seemed to all check out.  In Dallas on Oct29th I spent an hour and a half on the water and could simply not believe how perfect is was. I mean the trailer had 04 tabs on it so it hadn't even moved in over a year except for the service at Phil Dill boats.  He was a cool dude he just was not using the boat plus he was buying a house that same weekend I was down there so he really needed to move the boat. 

The only things I have had to do was adjust the shaft packing (lack of use made it drip way too much)...gave a quarter turn to the nut and all was good.  Then I put in a new blower...$34.99.  Besides that, the ten disc changer is not turning on (the cable connections look a little rusty).  This is not really a big deal cause I am currently pushing MP3 via a FM frequency.

Overall, I have to say I am stilll stunned at how these boats perform!!!!

I'd ditch the changer, they're junk, and get the little Kenwood adapter that allows an RCA input via the changer jack. Certain models of the kenwood receiver will work that way, mine was an older one kac-4009(?), and it wouldn't work. Most newer ones do. It sounds better and only costs 15$
