Engine Help!
« on: May 09, 2013, 00:58:43 am »
Hello to all! I am having some trouble with my epic s22 direct drive v8. While it is running, the water is channeling out of the bottom of the boat rather than the exhaust flaps. is this normal or what should i be looking for?

If it's your first time out this year I'd say the engine wasn't made water ready. Check to see if the drain bolts are in at the underside of the manifolds and if the block drains are tight. I'm guessing water is entering the system to keep the engine from overheating, but not getting out past the manifolds. The winterizing PDF in the maintenance section will show you how to do it.
