Vail Lake
« on: July 23, 2004, 20:36:10 pm »
I have heard about a lake in Temecula called Vail Lake.  It's supposed to be a private lake where you can pay to ski.  I wanted to know if Derek or any other SoCal readers have heard anything about it or have been there.

(if you don't live in SoCal, you have no idea how scarce good ski spots are!)

I've only heard about it on Wakeworld, but have not really read much. A search there would get you the info you're looking for.

Now git them pics up!!!!

Here's a pic from the Col river last weekend.  I still think they are one of the nicest looking boats on the water.  Tiges look cool too, especially with that nose that dips down....  if only they didn't submarine!

Beautiful. Is that up by Topoc or Parker or Big river?

BTW, whenever you're ready, I'm ready to begin my Jedi training. This time next year, my business card needs to say either Toyota or TRD. Maybe you can help me figure out which, and what the title should read.

And we've got to hook up at the lake/river some time ;-)

that's in between Topoc and Needles, just north of Park Moabi.  TRD would be a great place to work, but your mobility would be limited.  I took a tour of their engine manufacturing facility about a month ago.  Those guys really have their act together.  The floor was cleaner than most dinner tables, top notch systems, and techs that are highly trained.  Very cool.  TMS has alot more options and upward mobility.  They have their own Motorsports division, which would be really fun to work at.  All the smart guys work in product design, planning or technical.  Not me!

Do you get out to the river much?  We are planning another trip (no kids - YAY!) to Laughlin / Mojave next weekend.  Staying til Tuesday morning, which should provide great skiing.
