Noisy Pully....
« on: September 02, 2015, 17:35:12 pm »
Sorry...forgot to ask if there is any one pully that supports the serpentine belt that goes bad and what is that part number for purchase? I have what sounds like bearing noise but it's hard to distinguish which pully it is. Could be alternator or tensioner. Don't think it's the water pump since noise is lower.

Thanks!

Look in the parts to-buy area. There is diagrams with part numbers.

You may find that the serpentine belt may be the culprit

Okay. Is time to do that anyway. So your bearing noise went away?

One went bad on the Sequoia about 18 months aftrer changing timing belt. It was the fan idler pulley. Bit of a pain to replace with the radiator out, etc when set up for timing belt change.
