1. The direct drive does not have an alarm for Transmission. But I would check the oil pressure and water temp. What year is the boat?

It is a 2001.  I have had the pressure checked by my marine mechanic with a guage run directly off the sensor and it is ok.  The boat guage is a little erractic.  As for heat, the guage stays at 160 to 170 while runing.  I have checked the exhaust manifolds by hand and they don't seem to be excessively hot.  I most likely need to call you about thr analog switches and analog guages.  But will I still get messages from  the computer?

If you can put your hand comfortably on the intake manifold and exhaust manifolds, its not overheating.

The first time out, you have to make sure the sea strainer, all cooling water lines, oil cooler lines, vdrive cooler, freeze plugs, engine drains are all tight, no
Air leaks
