Work Instructions to change impeller and drive shaft packing

Rick Cohn recently came by to do a couple things for our 2001 Epic. He did a great job and I asked him about changing the water impeller and replacing the packing. He ended up e-mailing me a nice set of instructions. I would be happy to e-mail them to the web site if there is an interest.

I changed the impeller on my Vdrive.  E-mail me if you need help.  What packing size is used for the vdrive?

I think he is talking about the drive shaft packing, nothing to do with the impeller. The drive shaft is 1" dia

I think my drive shaft is 11/4".  At least that is what the prop is.  What size packing do you use for the stuffing box?

I just checked the prop.  It is 11/8 inch.
