New buyer , Got Epic ???????????????
« on: May 20, 2003, 19:50:08 pm »
I am new to the inboard market, and have recently purchased an 2000 epic 22 with 38 hrs on it. On the day of my test drive niehter of the speedometers worked, is this a common problem witht the toyota, once they had it back to the shop, they told me it was debris in the pick up tubes. and was also curious of any problems that the epic 22 or any toyotas occurred. thanks

Here where we ride stuff gets stuck in the pick up tubes until late june and then if it rains hard it happens again.  So yes, that happens, sometimes during rides which really sucks.  You may want to have the engine hooked up to see if those hours are for real.  Excellent purchase you will be happy.  If you have any questions throw them up.

Hey finner,
Congrats & welcome to the 'yota family!!My speedo probes get clogged every so often. No big deal.Just carry a straight pin in your boat.If you trailer your boat to the lake all the time, try putting tape over your speedo probes before you hit the road.Indy always has summer construction on roads & it's a mess. That has worked pretty well for me!
