Since we all are members of a priviledged few, and are boats are so unique that hillbillys transplanted to Utah are so inspired that they risk (more) jail time to make bad copies of them, I figure that we should start documenting the boats. I'd like to create a database containing all known details of every Epic boat. This can be as nebulous as "I saw a '99 Epic 22 that was green and red with no tower on Lake Lanier in '00, or as specific as hull ID number, all factory options, trailer, owner and service history, etc. with picture and comments.
Lesman can put the info into the right format, what he needs is a definition of the data that needs to go into the tables in the DB. I am going to put down all of the things I can think of that should be in the DB, please chime in with any other details that you think should be included. Les will spend every waking hour programming all this crap in (not really)
Then, we should all input ALL DETAILS ON EVERY ONE WE'VE EVER SEEN. That also means getting really sneaky, writing down or documenting every HIN we see, copying internet ads, etc. It shouldn't be that hard to nail them all down, there's simply not that many.
There are over 150 members of this site, and only 470 Epics, there is a tremendous amount of first hand knowledge right here, we might as well get it down for posterity. I think these boats will always have a following, might as well get proactive.
