Closed Marine Cooling System
« on: April 23, 2005, 04:05:31 am »
Aloha all.
I have read all of the posts regarding salt water, and our boats, and to not let the two mix. Living in the middle of the Pacific Ocean with salt water ALL around, well let's just say it's impossible.  :(
So, here's my question: What are the different closed marine cooling systems that will fit my '00 X-22? I've had it here now for almost a year, and I would like to close the cooling system. I guess better late than never!! ;D
Aloha,
Tim

For what you are doing, you DEFINATELY want to get the closed loop cooling system. $7-800 is cheap compared to the replacement cost of our engines [$7-8000(?)].

Read this thread.

About half way down, Capt Rick gives you the Toyota  part numbers and prices.  Not sure who the closest Toyota Marine dealer is (Probably Ski Masters in Washington 425-481-2754), but maybe you can get them through your local Toyota Auto parts counter.

Good luck.

You  must have the only Epic in Hawaii, that's pretty cool!

The factory one is the way to go, and there's someone on here that put one on recently.

Thanks for the info guys. It sounds like this is the only way to go. If anyone has pictures,
that would be great.
Yeah Pete, I have the only Epic here in Hawaii. People are not quite sure what to think when they see it.
Aloha,
Tim
