Anyone have a problem with the starter switch or any electrical shut down during operation?I changed out the switch, doesn't seem to help.

Thanks

Can you be more specific? if you mean the panel switches switching off when you push other buttons, there is a fix for that. It entails wiring a diode across the switched relay coils, it's a common fix when you have relays in a circuit. I added a bunch more circuits to my boat this winter and will have to install a couple diodes to fix the problem, I'll take pics, etc this week. It's not hard to do and its very cheap, it's just a matter of figuring out the best place to physically install them.

You've checked, or are talking about, the kill switch that the lanyard plugs into, right? A problem with that switch would kill the engine (not sure if it just kills spark, or if it'd keep the starter from turning, too.)

Welcome! Send us a shout (and your Epic life story) when you get this resolved.

Maybe I misunderstood? Check the 20 amp fuse near the Perko for corrosion if the piss-me-off lanyard switch is ok.

I keep hearing and seeing the word "perko", what is it?

Some boats used a Perko brand battery switch. It's a big round red rotary switch about 6" in dia, on my boat it's mounted under the clamshell on the passenger side. Other boats use a different battery switch that is actuated with a green plastic key.

I was out tonight and idling after a 3 mile sprint across the lake when everything totally quit.  The gauges are frozen and there is no power to anything.  Any ideas?  I'm desperate.

Check the inline fuse coming from the battery....depending on what Epic you have. The one pete spoke of above. on my s22, it's in the battery compartment. Pus, check all the connectors under the dash.

It is probably the kill switch, it contacts the throttle mechanism and can cause things to go dead if it is misadjusted. Mine has been doing it lately, it always starts again so I haven't bothered to go in and readjust it.

It ended up being the inline fuse just below the perko switch.  Thanks for all your previous posts, led right to it.  That was alot easier than convicing my wife to go out for an evening cruise again!
