V-6 S-22?
« on: October 16, 2005, 03:06:29 am »
Festivus and I went though and did our maintenance and winterization today.  Sad Sad day.
Upon replacing the plugs I discovered 2 that were non-functional. One on either side of the block.
See Photo.  Champion makes great plugs right?

Also discovered that My 2000 S-22 had never had the impeller changed.  It was also pretty torn up.

Change the Spark Plugs every year...... Ignore the idea the plugs will last 1000 hours.

at least the good part of the experience is the anticipation of waiting all winter to try your new V-8 S-22.  It'll be sweet.
We are also both changing out our thermostats, they are beginning to corode.  CHeap and easy fix.
Was there supposed to be metal shavings in my v-drive gear oil?

Javman,

I'd say that boat had a few more hours on it than was reported to you. People are lying scumbags. Makes me want to check my plugs.

Dentist?  I'm thinkin' proctologist.  It's a lot softer (usually) down there.  At least normally no teeth.

Even with those bad plugs (one on either side of the block) the engine still seemed plenty powerful.  What can I expect next year?

Are those Champion spark plugs?  Or do I really have that bad eye sight?
