Need advice on new wakeboard tower and bimini top
« on: May 09, 2006, 03:23:50 am »
I just ponied up for one of the few remaining factory wakeboard towers. My wife was thinking more along the lines of a bimini top. Is there a factory bimini that goes with the wakeboard tower? She really likes the top on the boat that sunk at Powell. I may just print the "before" picture and take it to my canvas guy. Anyway, if you have a bimini, please post some pics so she choose one, and I'll post post a picture of her and the winning top in a matching bikini (do those come in Sunbrella?)

Yeah If i can find one of the bimini tops that is part of the tower that would be awesome... I think it goes along with the lines of the boat.  Does anyone know where to get one?

With a factory tower, you have the option of a factory tramp top which I think looks great. If you like biminis, there is a gallery at towerbiminis.com that will give you some ideas. This is where I ordered mine.

Whew, it is good to read that towerbiminis.com is recommended as that is where I ordered my top. It was stupid of me not check with you guys for recommendations. One of the dealers at the boat show had them on all of their boats. I liked them more than anything else so I just ordered the darn thing. (I consider them necessary to protect from the sun, I prefer the look of the boat without a top.) When it gets here and I get it installed, I will give my thoughts on it.

Mine was $745, including shipping. You can go to the website to "build/design" one yourself which they will then quote or you can just call them and they can give you all your choices. The guy's name is John. He is friendly and helpful.
